What is a credit card Security Code and why is it required?
In order to protect you from unauthorized transactions, GiftCertificates.com requires your credit card’s Security Code.
- American Express: The Security Code is the 4-digit number printed on the front of the card directly above the embossed account number.
- Visa, MasterCard® and Discover: The Security Code is the 3-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card. It immediately follows the account number.

Please add one business day to the durations below for orders placed after 2PM EST. Orders placed before 2PM EST will follow the delivery time stated below:
- Email gift certificates will be emailed the same business day.
- US Mail orders ship the same business day and are delivered within 6-13 days.
- FedEx® 2nd Day orders ship the same business day and are delivered within two business days.
- FedEx® Priority Overnight orders ship the same business day and are delivered on the next business day.
- Orders made on federal holidays will be processed and shipped the following business day and delivered according to the shipping option you choose.

What Are the Shipping Costs?

What Are the Delivery Requirements for SuperCertificate® products?
- FedEx® deliveries require a mandatory signature, regardless of any waiver you have signed with FedEx®.
- FedEx® Saturday Delivery is available 2PM EST Thursday through 1:30PM EST Friday.
- Shipments bound for addresses in Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam must be sent via FedEx® Overnight.
- FedEx® is unable to ship to PO Boxes and APO / FPO addresses. Shipments to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses must be shipped via US mail.
- Shipments with total amounts over $300 must be shipped via USPS Priority, FedEx® 2nd Day, FedEx® Overnight, or FedEx® Saturday Overnight.

What Service Fees are Charged?
The purchase of a merchant gift card or a SuperCertificate® product includes a service fee, which covers the cost of packaging, customer service, etc.
- Service fees are not assigned to merchant gift cards when a SuperCertificate® REWARD or GIFT is being redeemed.
- SuperCertificates are charged product fees between $2.95 and $3.95, depending on face value. Please see SuperCertificate product pages for full details.
- Merchant gift cards are charged a product fee of $1.00. Please see the individual product pages for full details.
- American Express® Gift Cheques are charged a total service fee of $2.95 for orders up to $200. Orders exceeding $200 will be charged a product fee of 5% of face value.
- Shipping fees are calculated based on a maximum of 400 gift certificates and/or value of $10,000 per package. Orders exceeding either amount will ship in multiple packages and will be charged accordingly. Your credit card will not be charged until your order ships from our facility.

How do I enter more than one SuperCertificate?
You can enter up to 10 SuperCertificate numbers, with matching Program ID’s. Submit one at a time in the field provided on the SuperCertificate Shopping Page. You navigate to SuperCertificate Shopping Page by clicking on the top navigation that says "Redeem with a SuperCertificate". Enter the SuperCertificate numbers in the form field provided. The system will tell you if you have submitted SuperCertificates from incompatible program ID’s. The system will only allow you to shop and complete a transaction with one Program ID at a time.

How do I spend a SuperCertificate®?
Step 1: Go to the SuperCertificate Redemption Center and enter your SuperCertificate number(s).
Step 2: Shop our site for gift cards to your favorite stores.
Step 3: When you checkout, the value of your SuperCertificate is deducted from your cart total. Checkout is complete when you receive your Order Confirmation Number.
Step 4: GiftCertificates.com will email or mail the gift certificate(s) you selected.

Can I use my SuperCertificate in a merchant’s store or on its website?
No. A SuperCertificate must be redeemed on the GiftCertificates.com website or by calling Customer Service. Then you will receive your merchant gift certificate, which you can then take into a store or use on its website depending on the merchant.

What if I can't find a denomination that matches my SuperCertificate value?
Use our Search Center to see if you can find the denomination that you're looking for. Remember, you can use any combination of certificates to add up to or exceed the value of your SuperCertificate. If you go over the value of your SuperCertificate you can pay the balance with a credit card. You also don't have to spend your SuperCertificate all at once; you can come back to the site to redeem the rest later.

Do I have to pay for shipping when I redeem a SuperCertificate?
Shipping by U.S. Mail is $1.00 when redeeming a SuperCertificate. If you are redeeming a SuperCertificate for more than $300 in gift certificates you will receive free FedEx® 2 Day shipping. You always have the option to upgrade to various FedEx® shipping methods for a fee.

My SuperCertificate has expired. Can I extend the life of it?
SuperCertificate gifts issued on or after July 1, 2004 do not expire. SuperCertificate gifts issued before July 1, 2004 generally have an expiration of 13 months from the date of issuance, except where prohibited by law. If you have an expired SuperCertificate and reside in a state that prohibits expiration dates, please contact Customer Service at 1.800.PRESENT and we will process your redemption over the phone.

Is the Persona Card a credit card?
No. The Persona Card is a prepaid stored-value card containing a specific number of points. One point equals one U.S. dollar in purchasing power. Unlike a credit card, you can only spend the points available on the Persona Card. Additionally, there are no annual fees, interest charges, or credit checks specific to the Persona Card.

What if I want to buy an item that exceeds the Persona Card’s value?
If your desired purchase amount is greater than your available value, you must consult with the merchant to determine whether supplemental payment is allowed. It is up to each merchant to determine what form of supplemental payment will be accepted, if any.
Each merchant may determine in which order the payment methods will be processed. It is recommended to use your personal form of payment first and the Card second. Prior to the transaction, inform the merchant how much of the transaction you wish to apply to the supplemental form of payment and to the Card.
All payments applied to the Card must be for an amount less than or equal to the remaining value. If the Card is processed for an amount greater than the available value, the transaction may be declined.

Do Persona Cards ever lose their value?
Yes. The valid thru date is printed on the front of every Persona Card. All points must be used prior to the last day of the month of the valid thru date or the remaining unused points will be forfeited, subject to applicable law.

No. The Persona Card is point-based (not dollar-denominated) and may not be used at ATMs.

How should I use the Persona Card at participating restaurants?
To use the Persona Card at a participating restaurant, simply present the Persona Card at the time of payment. The amount on the Persona Card must be sufficient to cover the purchase amount plus gratuity. The restaurant industry’s authorization system automatically adds to the purchase total an amount to cover the gratuity (approximately 20%) at time of authorization. The Persona Card will be declined if it does not cover the authorized amount. Some establishments may allow you to pay for your meal with the Persona Card and to pay the gratuity in cash — or use an additional form of payment. You must consult with the participating restaurant regarding payment options. Please review the "What if I want to buy an item that exceeds the Persona Card’s value?"

What are the most important things to remember when using the Persona Card?
- Record the Card number and the toll-free number listed on the back of the Card and keep this information in a separate location. You will need this information if the Card becomes lost or stolen.
- Before you shop, visit the Web site to access the most current list of participating merchants, www.personaselect.com.
- Select American Express as the form of payment.
- Choose Credit instead of Debit (if it is an option).
- Know your point balance and make sure you have sufficient points to cover the transaction.

Creating an account is simple. Go to My Account, select Create an Account and enter the requested information. You can update your account information at any time by signing in to your account with your username and password and going to My Profile under My Account Settings.

What do I do if I forgot my password?
If you have forgotten the password you can have a new one emailed to you. Simply go to My Account, click on the Forgot Your Password? link, and submit your username. You will receive an email from us with your new password. Please note that passwords are case-sensitive and should be entered exactly as provided. Once you are signed in you can go to My Account and then to My Profile under My Account Settings, where you will be able to change your password to something you can remember.

How can I track my order?
You can track your order online by logging into My Account and clicking on Order Status. Enter your Order Confirmation Number and click Submit. Once your order is verified you will see the details of your order and if your order has shipped.
If your order is being shipped by FedEx® you will be provided with a tracking number and a TRACK link to FedEx’s tracking website so that you can use its online tracking system to locate your package.
- Physical orders (i) with a ship-to address outside the United States or Puerto Rico; (ii) which is valued over $300.00; or (iii) which is requested by the customer to be expedited, may be subject to additional shipping and handling fees at time of order. Express deliveries cannot be sent to a P.O. Box. A.P.O. or F.P.O. Physical deliveries cannot be shipped to Quebec.
- GiftCertificates.com agrees to bear the risk of loss of the shipment of gift certificates from GiftCertificates.com to the Customer until the Customer or recipient takes possession of such gift certificates, after which the Customer or recipient shall bear all risk of loss of the gift certificates. GiftCertificates.com is not responsible for replacement of gift certificates that are not received due to Customer’s failure to provide accurate delivery information, including physical and email addresses. If Customer desires to have GiftCertificates.com re-send shipments returned to GiftCertificates.com as undeliverable, re-send charges may apply.
- If physical certificates are shipped directly to Customer, Customer must promptly notify GiftCertificates.com of (a) any discrepancy in the order; or (b) Customer’s non-receipt of shipment. Upon receipt of such notification, GiftCertificates.com will investigate, and may, if appropriate (i) correct such discrepancies; or (ii) cancel and replace any non-received shipment in which a full balance remains on the gift certificates, provided that the intended recipient submits to GiftCertificates.com a properly completed Affidavit of Claimant/Lost Shipment within 60 days of the shipment date for business customers, and 13 days of the shipment date for individual customers. If GiftCertificates.com does not hear from Customer or recipient within the aforementioned time frames, the shipment will be deemed to be satisfactory and accepted by Customer.
- GiftCertificates.com is not responsible if a Recipient or Customer defaces, damages or otherwise renders unsuitable for redemption a merchant gift certificate that is either sold to the Customer or received by the Recipient in exchange for a SuperCertificate®.

If your order was shipped by U.S. Mail please allow 13 days for delivery from the date it shipped. If it is between 14 and 60 days past the date it shipped, please sign in to your account or use Order Status to view the details of your order. If you have further questions regarding your order, please contact your Sales Representative or Corporate Support at 877.737.0200 or corporatesupport@giftcertificates.com.
If your order was shipped via FedEx® and it should have arrived already, please contact Corporate Support at 877.737.0200 or corporatesupport@giftcertificates.com.
Please note: GiftCertificates.com will not be responsible for merchandise that is undeliverable or not received due to the purchaser’s failure to enter accurate delivery information, including physical and email addresses, or when 60 days have passed since the date GiftCertificates.com shipped the certificate(s).

A variety of reasons can prevent a recipient from being able to receive an email from GiftCertificates.com and others. Most common reasons include:
- Recipient’s Internet security setting is very high (sender is not on the safe list)
- Recipient’s firewall blocks the email
- Recipient’s email inbox has exceeded its size limit
- Invalid email address
Please see if any of these reasons may have caused the email to not be received. Then contact Corporate Support and we will resend the certificate.
